Yuanda entrusted to tackle Melbourne’s 250 Spencer St multi-type façade building

Australia’s leading façade and curtain wall producer, Yuanda Australia, will begin the façade installation late this year, on Melbourne’s 250 Spencer Street ten-level podium.

Yuanda Director ZhiJun Liu said Yuanda was one of the only companies that could tackle this project due to the number difficulties involved in installing the different façade types.

“This project will involve 18 different types of façade, including window wall, frame stick curtain wall, unitized curtain wall, frame stick curtain wall integrated with stone and stainless steel, glazed balustrade set in stone clad, just to name a few,” Mr Liu said.

Mr Liu said 250 Spencer Street will also have 250mm wide aluminium fin and a 600mm glazed sunshade.

250 Spencer Street proudly spans over 17,000 m2 across half a city block and stands on the corner of Spencer and Lonsdale Streets opposite Southern Cross Station and minutes away from the Crown Casino and the Yarra River.

250 Spencer Street will be another of Melbourne’s multi-use precints. The building will consist of two towers at 85 and 64 storeys, and will contain amenities including residential apartments, an outdoor and indoor cinema, a lap pool and gymnasium, and will also house Melbourne’s first Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

Façade installation on 250 Spencer Street is scheduled to begin in November 2020.
